6 Tips to Help you Strengthen your Integrity

December 26 2017  •  Well-Being, Mindfulness

Ever so often, you reach a turning point in your life where you realize you’ve changed, your environment has changed, and/or your goals and challenges have changed. One of the first things that I do whenever I encounter one of those major shifts in my life is take a good look at my values, ready to embrace the change.

After experiencing some of those changes in the past few months, I recently reviewed my "Core Values" worksheet and evaluated what words still aligned with my life and which new ones I needed to define.

Here is one of my favorite discoveries: Integrity is a core value essential to trustworthiness. And as a Life Coach, trustworthiness is very, very important to both the nature of what I do and, to me personally.

I took some time to explore my personal journey towards integrity and here’s what I’ve learned:

If you're feeling a lack of integrity it might be the result of a few things:

-You fear not being liked.

-You fear vulnerability.

-You lack confidence and/or communication skills.

-You have a constant need to be in control.

-You have a hard time saying no and love to people please.

-You do not feel worthy or good enough.

So what are some ways you can strengthen your integrity? There are 6 below.

  1. Get comfortable with saying "NO".

  2. Honor your word.

  3. Re-evaluate your inner circle.

  4. Improve your self-awareness.

  5. Journal on what values are most important to you.

  6. Improve your self-worth.

Working on these 6 Tips will have a positive impact on all areas of your life. Keep in mind you do not need to get this perfectly and it is OKAY to make mistakes.

To help you get even closer to that amazing goal of living with integrity, I’ve put together a FREE Worksheet Download and a FREE page of Journal Prompts that will walk you into your true core values.

When was the last time you found yourself ‘oohing and ahhing’ over someone’s dreamy morning ritual stories on Instagram?! With all of the steamy coffee pouring, candles burning, and warm sunlight flooding in, how can you *not* feel mesmerized when your reality might look more like a hot mess? No worries - you’re not alone in the struggle.
Yes, it’s true that a morning ritual can be a really beautiful, empowering aspect of your day-to-day. But more often than not, we spend our energies pursuing “dreamy” rather than what simply feels right to us.
The secret to finding freedom within morning rituals isn’t to try and make your ritual the prettiest, most Instagrammable series of events you can dream up. The secret is to give yourself permission to just be true-to-you - imperfections, improvisations and all.
And if your rituals ebb and flow with your day-to-day needs and desires, taking on new forms or different amounts of time, OWN IT. The goal is to find freedom within your morning rituals - not to create rituals that make you feel boxed in, trying to obtain an unfair idea of artificial perfection.😘
Preach🙌🏽🙌🏻🙌🏿🙌🏽 Self-care has taken on a whole new definition this week.
How often do you say "I wish I had more time for myself!" or "I don't have time for that" or "I'm SO busy".
We love to throw that busy word around.
And it's probably true that your plate is full but when it comes to designing your life you hold the power to decide what and who you want to spend your energy on. So before you make the assertion that you don't have time to workout or finish reading that book that's been collecting dust , you’ve got to understand what you’re trading off when you tell yourself “I Don’t Have Time”.
If you say you don't have time to eat healthy, it's an issue of priorities not time. So ask yourself this important question....
How is my time REALLY being spent and what are my priorities?👉🏼👉🏼👉🏼
It’s Monday!💃🏻 #getitgirl
